Alchemy Dance Company presents the world premiere of INTERSECT.
A show for all ages taking inspiration from the Shakespearean era and theme of the Outcast, Intersect combines contemporary technique with dynamic rhythm.
Through the raw emotional energy of Alchemy's dancers, Intersect explores the visceral idea of the Outcast. Set to original music by composer Jonathan Bowles, Alchemy's character and movement combine reality and illusion creating a reactive space outside of any specific time.
"I was inspired not only by Shakespeare's sonnets", says Artistic Director Amy Harding, "but also by his many stories with varying outcast characters. I deeply relate to this theme in my own life, and think that deep down everyone has felt this in one way or another. It's human reality, but also illusion. An intersection of the two."
